I don’t know about you but I love DRIVE THRU everything! I have been saying it for years now since I had my kids… I wish everything could be a Drive Thru. When you have kids, it is not easy to get them in and out of these car seats, they constantly fall asleep in the car, or they are tired, grumpy and just done for the day when you have one more errand to run. The convenience of not having to get out of your car to go grocery shopping when your little one fell asleep is just a simple JOY.
I know we all want convenience regardless if you have kids or are just simply super busy. Walmart has an amazing service where you order your groceries online in their GROCERY APP and you pick them up like a drive thru more or less, it is SO EASY, I will explain how below. I simply LOVE it. Walmart Grocery Pickup ROCKs in my book. If you are like me, you are shopping at a few places to get the things you need. I love shopping at Target, Costco, Publix, Wholefoods and Trader Joes. I am now saving time by getting most of the things I need through the Walmart Grocery App. There is a minimum purchase of $30 but no additional fees. I purchase a lot of organic things and today find that the best prices are in Walmart.
This service is perfect for moms like me, I feel like I am running all the time from play dates to practices to classes to school pickups to being a supermom everyday. It does not matter if you are a stay-at-home mom or have a full/part-time job, we as parents all have endless responsibilities.
Time is money and having your groceries delivered to your car is a pure DELIGHT. I don’t have to go and walk through the store and spend a 1-2 hours in a grocery store running after my 3 kids. I will take this service with a smile and thank you WALMART for providing such an awesome service!
I hear other stores are launching this as well, Target in my area will begin the same service in May. I did a little more research and found out that Wholefoods is also delivering for free and running a pilot program on this service in some selected locations. Here’s how you use the Walmart App;
Steps to ordering your Walmart groceries online;
1. Download the Walmart Grocery App - Click Here
2. Choose Pick From Location
3. Reserve your Time
4. Choose your Groceries
5. Notify Walmart through their App when you are on your way.
6. When you arrive at the Walmart location, there are orange signs that say Pickup and a section where to park to wait for your groceries. Your attendant will come out with your groceries for signing!
7. You just saved TIME, MONEY and perhaps saved some ENERGY by not having to run after your kids like me.
Lastly, just an FYI, on my second order I received a welcome bag with some goodies that the kids loved. The first time they apologized they had run out of welcome bags. The last time I went I got a nice cold water, it was a hot day. I thought that was so nice from the attendant, which was really professional and courteous.
